The Texas A&M Interfraternity Council has begun an investigation on Sigma Chi Fraternity, according to an email sent out by the council.
Representatives from the Department of Student Activities and the Pro Consul of Sigma Chi Fraternity declined The Battalion’s requests for comment. Representatives from the Interfraternity Council were not immediately available for comment.

A source familiar with Sigma Chi Fraternity said the alleged infractions are related to prohibited recruitment practices during the formal rush period.
The email requests that “former event guests” of Sigma Chi attend an “investigation meeting” Thursday. “Failure to attend the meeting for any reason may result in an individual student conduct case,” states the email.
