The Texas A&M baseball team (13-8, 2-1 SEC) was defeated by Auburn (16-6, 1-2 SEC) 5-6 Friday evening at Olsen Field in Blue Bell Park, March 25, 2022. The new Women’s Basketball Head Coach, Joni Taylor, threw the first pitch to start the game off. The Aggies gained a lead of 4-3 by the sixth inning, until an eventual score of 5-5 carried the game into an extra inning. Auburn used the opportunity to gain one point and left as the night’s winners. Despite the loss, fireworks were launched over Blue Bell Park following the game, much to the enjoyment of the remaining spectators. This game is the first out of three to be played this weekend.
The Aggies will play against Auburn again at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022.
