Freshman DB Tyreek Chappell (7) tackles WR Trey Palmer (33) at Tiger Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021.
The Aggies and the Tigers faced off in a chaotic game at Death Valley on Saturday Nov. 27. Junior WR Jalen Preston scored two touchdowns in the 4th quarter that allowed the Aggies to take the lead for the first time in the game, but the Tigers clinched their 27-24 victory in dramatic fashion, a Hail Mary pass on a 4th down conversion with less than 30 seconds left on the clock. The Aggies leave Baton Rouge with an 8-4 record in the regular season and dashed hopes for a New Years 6 Bowl bid. Texas A&M will return to the gridiron for a bowl game to conclude the 2021-2022 football season.
