Monday’s guest column and Mail Call only emphasized that many non-regs have a preconceived idea about Corps members. People have begun to believe that Corps members all believe that they are better than the rest of the student population, however this can’t be further from the truth. Last Wednesday’s column, if read with an open mind, showed not only how concerned the Corps members have become with the lack of participation in the most meaningful of Texas A&M’s traditions, but how excited they are to have a non-reg yell leader. A non-reg yell leader is an amazing attribute to our diverse campus because he will better represent the student population, but as a yell leader he must also represent our campus and its traditions to the world. I am also highly involved in on-campus organizations and I support change, but not change for the sake of change.
