Following a 27-10 victory over Auburn, freshman linebacker Taurean York was named SEC Freshman of the Week.
The Temple native racked up a team-leading 11 tackles, with two being for loss with half a sack, helping the Aggies’ defense hold the Tigers to just 200 total yards, 3-of-15 on third down and only gave up three offensive points.
York also leads all other freshman linebackers in the country with 22 tackles, good for fifth among all freshman defensive players.
