After initial X-rays came back negative for sophomore quarterback Conner Weigman, it appears the young QB could miss the rest of the season with a broken bone in the foot, according to The Houston Chronicle.
Weigman left Saturday’s 27-10 win over Auburn after suffering a hit to his lower leg from Tiger senior cornerback Jaylen Simpson.
The Aggie starting quarterback completed 82 of his 119 passing attempts this season, for 979 yards and two touchdowns and was poised for a breakout sophomore campaign.
Now, the Aggies will move forward with redshirt sophomore quarterback Max Johnson, likely for the remainder of the year.
