University of Texas hired former Kansas City Chiefs assistant Greg Robinson as co-defensive coordinator.
Robinson has spent the past 14 seasons in the NFL and was the defensive coordinator for Denver when the Broncos won the Super Bowl in 1997 and 1998. He spent the past three seasons as defensive coordinator for the Chiefs.
He will share defensive coordinator duties with secondary coach Duane Akina, although Robinson will have final say in developing schemes and calling defenses, Brown said. Robinson also will coach the linebackers.Texas was 10-3 last season. and finished ranked number 12.
