What is your Aggie story?

Both of my biological parents went to A&M. My mom was a Fish Camp counselor all four years, my dad was a member of the Corps of Cadets in [Company] N-1, grew up going to Aggie games, and just had no other option — apply for A&M only — and when I got in that was it, so here I am.

What organizations are you involved with?

Currently, I am a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, I am on the IFC executive board for that. Also, I work for Student Senate and then Class Councils as the [junior] class president, right now, currently.

Why are you running for class president, and why do you think you are qualified for this position?

I am running for class president because I love this university. When I came to A&M, it was either join the Corps or disappoint my dad, and I had to tell him, “Hey, the Corps is not for me,” but the trade-off for that is I really want to give back. I have been doing my best to stay as involved as possible and serve the students. Since then, [my] time as class president has allowed me to advocate and speak for students across the university, and it’s been super, super cool. Getting improved campus safety we are working right now to increase the funding to Beutel that got cut during COVID times. Just a couple other projects that have been super rewarding and just been a lot of fun to be a part of, and I get to feel like I am giving back and doing a good thing for the university.

What is your campaign platform?

My passion is student involvement so I just want to have as many Aggies involved as possible and have as amazing experience as I have. My other platform point is student safety, improving campus safety, whether that be identifying dangerous spots on campus, having the UPD patrol more or by adding more lights or security cameras. My final platform is not necessarily class president but just improving Greek life’s perception across campus as well as other organizations affiliated. There’s a large campus and I feel like we only target a small portion of it, and I would like to just bring a lot of the organizations that are in the shadows out to light.

Why do you think students should vote for you?

I love A&M, I give every single day to making it better, I enjoy what I do and it just brings me so much joy to serve and represent the students’ administration to other schools and in every aspect I fight every single day for the betterment of the student experience and what it means to be an Aggie.

Campaign slogan

Let’s win with Will.

If you could hang out with any former student who would it be and why?

I think an easy answer is Sul Ross, who wouldn’t want to just sit there and talk and hear his experience and what he thought it meant to be an Aggie and what he thinks of A&M today.
