Tonight at Sliver Taps I witnessed something that made me just shake my head in awe and disgust. As the Ross Volunteers were marching up to Sul Ross, two girls ran straight in front of me and proceeded to talk on the phone. I could hear the girls’ conversation, so I am pretty sure everyone else around me could too. How can anyone paying respect for people who have died talk on a cell phone? It is rude and selfish. If it is an emergency, then go somewhere where no one will hear you. Please be respectful of those who have died and those who are paying tribute to them; it is only right.
