The university warned of a gas leak near Ireland and Ross Street in a Code Maroon alert noon Thursday.
According to Code Maroon alerts, Hobby, Neely, Hotard and Sbisa were evacuated, bus routes in the area were temporarily stopped and the Northside Garage was closed to incoming traffic due to the gas leak.
Officials discovered the natural gas leak at the University Central Utility Plant during a routine inspection, according to Code Maroon alerts.
Update: The gas leak was cleared at 2:35 p.m. Buildings are safe to reenter and roads are open.
