The Annual Security Report for 2014 crime statistics was released Wednesday by the University Police Department. The report includes information on offenses like domestic violence, sexual offenses, liquor-related arrests and drug arrests.
Of all the categories of reports, the largest increase from last year was seen among liquor-related arrests. The report showed that the number of liquor-law arrests doubled from 131 in 2013 to 262 in 2014.
Accounts of reported forcible sexual offenses are up by three since 2013, while no instances of non-forcible sexual offenses, including incest and statutory rape, were reported in either year.
There were seven more reports of aggravated assault in 2014 than there were in 2013. In regards to theft, burglary of structure continues to decrease, down 15 reports from 2013 and down an additional 104 since 2012.
