Texas A&M junior English rider Meredith Houx won the open flat class at the Tournament of Champions on Saturday. Houx, who competed against some of the nation’s top riders, scored seven points for the Aggies in the competition in Canyon.
The A&M English team finished in a tie for ninth place. The Aggies’ western team finished in fourth place on Saturday.
