The No. 7 Aggie soccer team traveled to Tempe, Arizona, over the weekend to participate in the Sun Devil Classic, tying Arizona 2-2 on Friday and falling 2-1 to Arizona State on Sunday.
Senior Bianca Brinson scored two goals against the Wildcats, including one with 33 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. Neither team was able to score in two 10-minute extra periods.
Senior Kelley Monogue scored A&M’s lone goal against Arizona State at the 3:23 mark, but the Sun Devils would put two unanswered goals into the net as the Aggies’ five-match unbeaten streak to open the season came to a close.
Next, the Aggies (4-1-1, 0-0 SEC) host Florida Gulf Coast at 7 p.m. Thursday inside Ellis Field.
