CSPD responds to body found in Central Park Thursday

Officers from the College Station Police Department responded to a report of a deceased person near Central Park Thursday, according to a CSPD press release.
According to the release, the officers responded at 2:30 p.m. and found an obviously deceased male. The body was initially found by an employee of the City of College Station who was working in the area, who immediately called emergency personnel.
CSPD detectives initiated an in-depth investigation. The results of a completed autopsy are pending, but there are currently no signs of foul play, according to the release. The investigation of the timeline and events leading to the man’s death is still ongoing.
The identity of the deceased male is known, but has not been released. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call CSPD at 979-764-3600.
