An Incoming biology freshman was rescued Thursday morning after having drifted 25 miles off the coast of Honduras, according to KFDM.
Aaron Rose was in the area for a mission trip with his family when he went kayaking alone Wednesday evening around 6 p.m. to see the sunset. Whenever Rose didn’t return, his family contacted the authorities and set up a ‘Pray for Aaron’ Facebook page which promptly garnered a large audience.
A search party involving boats, planes, and helicopters was held Wednesday night and resumed Thursday morning until Rose was found.
According to Facebook posts from Rose’s family members, the aggie is in good health despite sunburns and dehydration, and he intends to finish the remainder of the mission trip.
