Guess what? In the future, Congress (especially Republicans) will have the pleasure of addressing the issues that are important to my Latino community, instead of giving scant attention to them like they have in the past; however, if they choose to not do the aforementioned, we will be happy to vote them out of office. It is that simple. Furthermore, there would not be a United States of America without the blood, sweat and tears of immigrants. Immigrants have built this nation.To those of you that are adamantly against immigration, please refrain from driving on Texas Avenue because my people are building that road. Rather, begin walking to school in the wonderful spring weather; it really is not that bad.Actually, it is getting kind of hot outside. Currently, the rise of Latinos in this nation is taking place.It is our time to take our rightful place in those history books, you know, the ones that your children will be reading.
