I appreciate The Battalion’s coverage of the Aggies for Life’s guest speaker, Sally Winn. Her innovative approach to the abortion issue highlights the need for our society to give women in unplanned pregnancies true choice by supporting them, instead of pushing them to choose abortion.
Ms. Winn presented a plan that is loving, ethical and sensible, without attacking anyone.
On a technical note, an error was made regarding an essential point of Ms. Winn’s message. While the article stated that Ms. Winn “said women such as Susan B. Anthony . . . didn’t address the issue of abortion,” Ms. Winn actually made quite clear that Anthony and other early feminists were avidly pro-life and saw abortion as a murderous act and a degradation of women.
