Mobile ‘Gig ’em Week’ App to give students a convenient tool

A new app has been launched to help students navigate, schedule and plan their experience for Gig ‘Em Week 2015. The app, called “Gig ‘Em Week,” provides a daily schedule that can be broken down by day, venue and event type, giving students a convenient way to access the week’s events.
Each year, Gig ‘Em Week welcomes and reacquaints students to the A&M campus and Bryan-College Station community through free events, giveaways, seminars and a concert. Organizers say this year’s edition will feature more than ever, and hope the app will enhance the experience of all that use it.
In addition to the master schedule, the app features a scheduling widget for users to personalize which events they want to attend, a map with all event locations, a social media center discussing the “trending” events and links to the student life webpage.
Gig ‘Em Week events kick off Sunday, Aug. 23 and run through Aug. 30 prior to fall semester classes beginning Aug. 31. The app is available for download now on the App Store and Google Play.
