Respect campus for Muster and refrain from 4/20 chalkings

Over the last few years, it has become a growing trend for a small group of students to chalk campus with pro-marijuana pictures and slogans on the evening of April 19 in anticipation of their celebration of 4-20. Without getting into the politics of pot or narcotics legalization, please let me remind you that April 21 is Aggie Muster, which brings thousands of old Ags, visitors, and newcomers to our campus in celebration of their ties to A&M through friends and family.
As honored families and the reunion class of 1956 return to Aggieland, I would hate for their return to be tarnished by crudely-drawn pot leaves and embarrassing opinions that work against the honor of the occasion. In the years past, students and maintenance crews have scrambled to wash your message off our campus before the majority of visitors arrived for Muster, but these people should not be expected to sacrifice their time to ensure campus beautification when it should not be jeopardized to begin with.
Our aim on the day leading up to Muster should be to preserve our campus in honor of those who came before us. Please refrain from spreading your message this year.
