This morning at 10:55, an explosion occurred at the Process Engineering Research and Development Center on the RELLIS Campus.
According to the University Police Department, a piece of equipment malfunctioned while an employee was attempting to extract oil from seeds. The explosion caused the staff member to sustain injuries to the face and body, and he was transported to Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan. The employee is in stable condition and no other staff members were injured.
