Two A&M freshman in the A&M Corps of Cadets and another woman were killed in an auto accident around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Highway 290, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.
Police told KTRK-TV that the woman was traveling south in a northbound lane and hit a Ford Explorer head-on containing three A&M freshman Corps members.
The woman whose identity has not been released was pronounced dead on the scene. 18-year-old Amy Paecheo and 18-year-old Miguel Hernandez were identified as those killed in the Explorer. The third A&M student was taken to Memorial Herman hospital and is said to be in stable condition.
