Coming off an upset win against the No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers, the No. 25 A&M women’s swimming and diving team will face off in a double-dual meet against the No. 2 Texas Longhorns and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Friday, Nov. 3. The meet will start at 3 p.m. in the Rec Center Natatorium and will continue at 10 a.m. on Saturday with a long course meters meet against Georgia Tech.
The Aggies had a podium sweep in the 1000-meter free on Oct. 27 when sophomore Hayden Miller finished on top with a time of 9:58.03, followed by senior Abby Grottle with 10:03.89 and Rachel Love at 10:05.07.
The Longhorns are coming off of a tough loss against No. 1 Virginia with key freshman Erin Gemmell finishing first in the 200-yard freestyle clocking in a time of 1:44.64. Gemmell also had a first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:42.66.
The Yellow Jackets impressed at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta Georgia on Oct. 13 with a win over the Florida State Seminoles 160-140. Sophomore Allison Brown took two first-place finishes in the 500-yard freestyle with 4:55.63 and again in the 1000-yard freestyle at a time of 10:03.14.
