Freshman Haley Redifer scored a 176 in equitation over fences on March 30 in the SEC Championship final.

Coming off a loss at the SEC Championship finals on March 30, No. 2 Texas A&M equestrian team will travel to Waco, hoping to bring home another National Collegiate Equestrian Association Championship to Aggieland.
Last year was the start of a new championship layout, with seven national championships being awarded — overall team, Equitation over Fences, Equitation on the Flat, Horsemanship, Reining, Hunt Seat and Western — instead of previous years when just a team title was given.
A&M will have a chance to compete together in the team competition on Thursday, starting at 8:30 a.m. against No. 7 South Carolina. In 2017, the Aggies secured a national title after defeating then-No. 2 Georgia 11-5. However, they would fall 13-1 to the Bulldogs a year later in the NCEA team semifinals and instead bring home a national championship in Reining.
The Aggies will face University of California-Davis in Equitation over Fences and Reining, starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Extraco Events Center. Then, A&M will face UC-Davis in Equitation on the Flat at 1:30 p.m.
After earning a No. 2-seed in the tournament, the Horsemanship team will take a first-round bye. The winner of the Delaware State and Texas Christian University matchup on Friday at 3 p.m. will face A&M in the second round.
The Aggies will kick off the NCEA Championships on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Live streaming of the event is available on www.EQSports.net.
