Halftime Notes: Aggies trail MSU 28-10

HALFTIME NOTES:
Texas A&M 10 – Mississippi State 28
Total yards: A&M 248 – MSU 298
*A&M scored on its opening drive for the 22nd time under head coach Kevin Sumlin
*Freshman defensive end Myles Garrett recorded another sack, giving him 6.5 on the season. The SEC freshman record is eight, set by South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney in 2011.
* MSU QB Dak Prescott is 11-of-13 through the air for 140 yards and a touchdown. He also had 13 rushes for 45 yards and a touchdown.
* A&M receivers have dropped seven passes
* Kenny Hill was 19-of-31 for 169 yards and a touchdown, but has thrown two interceptions. He has 49 yards on the ground.
* The Aggie offense did not convert on third down until the last drive of the first half. The entered the game seventh in the nation on third down, converting 54 percent of their chances.
* A&M wide receiver Malcome Kennedy (shoulder) has not seen action thus far
* A&M freshman DE Qualen Cunningham was ejected on MSU’s opening drive for a targeting foul
* Aggie running backs have combined for just 30 yards on the ground.
* MSU won the coin toss and chose to differ to the second half. They will receive the kickoff after haltime.
