The Texas A&M’s women’s basketball team released a statement via Twitter on Monday afternoon regarding the health of point guard Jordan Jones after she sustained a head injury against Tennessee.
“Jordan Jones’ X-Rays and CT scan came back normal last night,” read the tweet. “She is being evaluated daily by team physicians and her status remains day-to-day.”
The injury occurred during the fourth quarter of A&M’s 76-71 win over Tennessee. Jones took a charge and hit her head on the court. She then remained on the floor not moving for a short period of time.
Jones was taken to the hospital where she had tests performed and was released later Sunday night.
