No. 11 ranked men’s competitive recreational softball team AMC will take on the No. 6 ranked YankDeez at Penberthy Rec Sports Complex on Wednesday, Nov. 1. The playoff game will take place on Field 2 at 7:45 p.m.
After a 12-8 loss against Lettuce Hit on Oct. 11, AMC finished the regular season 2-2. AMC must break its two-game losing streak to keep from being eliminated in the playoffs. Roster adjustments will be key to staying in the playoffs, according to the AMC co-captain.
There has not been much success getting on base and scoring runs in the past two games, said health senior Campbell Cody, who is co-captain for AMC.
“We have made some lineup adjustments to help with this, so hopefully we come out hot and are hitting the ball,” Cody said.
AMC has a gameplan to continue to play great defense and to make the easy plays, Cody said.
“The first inning is huge for momentum and attitude in these games,” Cody said. “Our goal is to hop out in front early and score some runs.”
