After four seasons at Texas A&M, graduate student offensive tackle Dametrious Crownover was selected 196th overall by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-7 1/4, 319 pound unit originally arrived in College Station as a three-star tight end recruit in 2021, before moving to offensive tackle during his redshirt freshman season.
Crownover made his first appearance for the Maroon and White at right tackle in his redshirt sophomore season in 2022, playing in eight games, before becoming a full-time starter over the past three seasons.
As a key member of the Aggies’ offensive line in 2025, the “Maroon Goons” allowed only 19 sacks over the course of the season, paving the way for nearly 2,500 rushing yards, 71 third-down conversions and 12 fourth-down conversions.
Instead of protecting redshirt junior quarterback Marcel Reed in the trenches of the Southeastern Conference, Crownover joins the Patriots where he’ll be tasked with keeping the pocket clean for runner-up MVP Drake Maye.
