Junior guard Admon Gilder is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a knee injury suffered in Texas A&M’s 47-point win over Savannah State last Tuesday, as confirmed by head coach Billy Kennedy on Monday afternoon.
According to a report by TexAgs.com, Gilder had surgery Monday morning to repair a torn lateral meniscus, and is hopeful to return against Florida on Jan. 2.
If Gilder were to return then, he would miss three games, including the Aggies’ conference opener against Alabama.
Gilder has played in all 10 games this season, starting in nine. He is third on the team in points, averaging 12.7 per game, and leads the Aggies in steals with 13.
A&M returns to the hardwood Tuesday night as it hosts Northern Kentucky with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.
