Former President George H.W. Bush was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital Sunday morning, according to a statement from family spokesperson Jim McGrath Monday evening. Bush was hospitalized after contracting an infection, which then spread to his blood.
“He is responding to treatments and appears to be recovering,” the statement said. “We will issue additional updates as events warrant.”
