Marquette head coach Carolyn Kieger is a former player for the Golden Eagles and is in her fifth year coaching the team.

In the second round of the Women’s NCAA Tournament the Texas A&M Aggies defeated the Golden Eagles of Marquette 78-76. The game came down to the last seconds but the Aggies emerged victorious on their home court at Reed Arena. Texas A&M moves on to the Sweet Sixteen where they will face either Notre Dame or Michigan State in Chicago on March 30.
