GALLERY: NCAA Bryan-College Station Super Regional
Texas A&M won the NCAA Bryan-College Station Super Regional against Oregon on June 8 and 9 at Olsen Field and are advancing to the 2024 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska for the second time in three years. The Aggies took game one on Saturday, June 8, 10-6 after pitcher Chris Cortez struck out a career-high 10 batters. Followed by game two on Sunday, June 9 highlighted by a seventh inning grand-slam from infielder Kaden Kent (3) and two-run home run by outfielder Hayden Schott (5), securing the Aggies’ victory and College World Series berth, 15-9. The first round of the NCAA College World Series will begin on June 14th.

Chris is a Journalism junior from Winnsboro, TX. Chris served as the Social Media Manager and Assistant Photo Chief prior to becoming Photo Chief for The Battalion’s photo desk. Before transferring to A&M in the Fall of 2023, Chris spent two years at Tyler Junior College, where he was Photo and Design editor for their student media, The DrumBeat. He is expected to graduate in May of 2026.
