Texas A&M is not only home to the Aggies, but also to a thriving bat population. The bats have a high-rabies risk and could pose a health threat if touched. John M. Salsman, director of A&M Environmental Health and Safety, advises students to close all windows and doors to prevent bats from entering buildings and to call the Facilities Services Communications Center if they find a bat inside a campus building, dead or alive, or if they find a bat anywhere that is unable to fly.
