A crowd gathered at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum at 12:15 Saturday morning for a candlelight vigil held in honor of former President George H.W. Bush, who passed away Friday night at the age of 94.

A group of approximately 50 people gathered at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum to hold a candlelight vigil for the former president.

Amazing Grace, The Spirit of Aggieland, God Bless America and the national anthem were sung during the vigil.

Many attendees wore sweatshirts that said “Bush” and had George H.W. Bush’s presidential seal on them.

Graduate student Briggs Long helped attendees arrange their candles in the shape of the Block T.

After the vigil, many people approached the George H.W. Bush statue to leave their candles.

Bush will be buried next to his wife Barbara P. Bush and daughter Robin Bush in the family plot behind the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
