The Texas A&M football team and their staff members filled the stands of Kyle Field for their 2021-2022 team picture. 

On the morning of Sunday, August 8 the Texas A&M football team held their 2021 Media Day. Players and coaching staff took team pictures in the bleachers of Kyle Field and held a press conference following the conclusion of the photos. The Texas A&M football team will hold their first game of the 2021 season on Saturday, September 4 at 7 p.m. against Kent State in Kyle Field.

  • Despite claims of increasing diversity, equity and inclusion in A&M athletics, all three head coaches hired in the last four months are white men.

  • The Texas A&M football team will have 98 active members on their roster for the 2021-2022 season. 

  • The Texas A&M football team’s on-field coaching staff gathered together for a picture. 

  • Defensive Coordinator/Safeties coach, Mike Elko and his players are photographed at the team’s media day. 

  • Texas A&M’s 2021 football season is set to kick off on Sept. 4 against Kent State at home beginning at 7 p.m. 

  • Head coach Jimbo Fisher will be entering into his fourth season with the Maroon and White. 

  • During the press conference, Coach Fisher spoke on football coaching legend Bobby Bowden.

  • Defensive Coordinator/Safeties coach Mike Elko will be entering into his fourth season with the Aggies. 

  • Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks coach Darrell Dickey spoke on both Haynes King and Zach Calzada‘s ability heading into the 2021 fall season. 

  • Senior defensive tackle Jayden Peevy was the first to announce he would be returning for another season with the Aggies to use his extra year of NCAA eligibility. 

  • Graduate-student and defensive lineman Micheal Clemons spoke to the media on the upcoming season at the press conference on Aug. 8. 

  • Junior defensive back Demani Richardson spoke on the depth of the team heading into the 2021 football season. 

  • Junior running back Isaiah Spiller will look to capitalize on an explosive running game this season. 

  • Junior wide receiver Ainias Smith said he is confident in the offensive line heading into the season. 

  • After undergoing a surgery, junior tight end Jalen Wydermyer has recovered and feels ready for the upcoming season.
