The third annual Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC) “Evening Under the Stars” Gala was held on Friday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Brownstone Reserve in Bryan, TX. 

On Friday, Oct. 8 The Brazos Valley Sexual Assault Resource Center held their third annual “Evening Under the Stars” Gala. The event was held at the Brownstone Reserve in Bryan and featured dinner, a silent auction and a night dedicated to celebrating hope. SARC serves to break the cycle of sexual assault and violence in Brazos Valley. The gala is held each year in support of a continued fight for freedom.

  • 370 candles lined the staircases of Brownstone Reserve in support of survivors served by SARC over the course of the last year. 

  • The Gala on Friday, Oct. 8 marked the organization’s third annual event. 

  • Attendees of this years’ “Evening Under the Stars” Gala were served dinner and had the chance to participate in a silent auction. 

  • Members of SARC wore teal ribbons in honor of sexual assault awareness. 

  • Donations from the event held on Friday, Oct. 8 help fund SARC’s 24/7 hotline and a variety of other management services. 

  • SARC’s “Evening Under the Stars” Gala is held in response to a continued fight for freedom from sexual assault and sexual violence in the Brazos Valley.

  • SARC’s mission is to eradicate sexual violence. 

  • The Sexual Assault Resource Center provides comprehensive services and resources on sexual violence.

  • Around 200 guests attended the third annual SARC Gala on Friday, Oct. 8. 

  • SARC’s 24/7 crisis hotline receives roughly 1,500 calls a year.
