Texas A&M baseball (12-3) defeated New Mexico State (12-2) 8-3 in Game 1 of the series. Texas A&M pitcher Asa Lacy threw seven innings without giving up a hit and striking out thirteen batters. The Aggies will take on New Mexico State in Game 2 of the series on Saturday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Olsen Field.
