The Texas A&M soccer team defeated the Sam Houston State Bearkats 5-0 on Friday, Sept. 3 at Ellis Field. Texas A&M dominated possession of the ball with standout performance by freshman forward Natalie Abel who scored her first collegiate goal. The Aggies will look to keep the momentum high when they return to Ellis Field for their next game on Sunday, Sept. 5 against the UTEP Miners with kickoff set for 3 p.m.

  • Freshman Natalie Abel played for a total of 54 minutes.

  • Freshman forward Makhiya McDonald was involved in an incident that ended with an unsuccessful penalty kick late in the second half.

  • Ultimately the Aggies were victorious and beat the Bearkats 5-0.
