Junior Peyton McBride started off the bottom of the second inning with a single to left field.

The Texas A&M softball team (22-13, 2-7 SEC) defeated BYU (13-18) 4-0 Saturday afternoon at Davis Diamond. It was a tied game until the bottom of the sixth inning when the Aggies put up four runs to take the lead. The Cougars could not answer in the top of the seventh to secure the win for the Aggies. 
The Aggies will return to Davis Diamond to take on Texas Southern on Tuesday, April 2 at 4 p.m.
