The Texas A&M softball team (24-13, 2-7 SEC) defeated Texas Southern (9-19, 7-0 SWAC) 8-1 in Game 1 and 13-2 in Game 2 of a doubleheader on Tuesday at Davis Diamond. In Game 1, Texas Southern jumped out early by scoring in the first inning, but the Aggies tied in the bottom of the third and continued to lengthen their lead each inning after. In Game 2, the Aggies scored first in the bottom of the second and never let the Tigers get ahead.
The Aggies will play at Georgia at 5 p.m. on Friday.
