For the first home swim meet of the fall season the Aggies faced off against the top-ranked University of Texas.

The Texas A&M Swimming & Diving team took on the University of Texas for the first home swim meet of the fall season. Both the men’s and women’s teams had strong outings but ultimately finished second. The men’s team finished 107-185 and the women’s team finished 112-180. The Aggies will return to the Rec Center Natatorium to face TCU on Nov. 5.

  • Both the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams competed against the University of Texas on Oct. 15 at the Rec Center Natatorium.

  • The women’s diving team finished second best to UT. On both the 3m and 1m the women’s team was led by senior Aimee Wilson who finished 3rd and 4th, respectively.

  • The men’s team entered the meet coming off a 4th place finish at the SMU Classic in Dallas.

  • In the Men’s 100 Yard Backstroke the men’s team scored 3 points, with freshman Tyler Hulet and senior Ethan Gogulski finishing 4th and 5th, respectively

  • Sophomore Alex Sanchez finished 4th in the Men’s 100 Yard Breaststroke.

  • In the Women’s 200 Yard Butterfly, the Aggies picked up 3 points from the 4th and 5th place finishes of freshman Sarah Holt and sophomore Olivia Theall.

  • Junior Jace Brown finished 3rd in the Men’s 200 Yard Butterfly.

  • Aggies in the stands were happy to remind those visiting from Austin of the score from the Red River Showdown.

  • The Aggie women swept the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay finishing 1-2-3-4.

  • The men’s team had similar success in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, picking up 15 points from a 1-2 finish.

  • In the women’s 200 Yard Individual Medley, the Aggie women finished 1-2-3, scoring 16 points.

  • The men’s 200 Yard Individual Medley was another success for the Aggies. Led by freshman Munzy Kabbara, the Aggies finished 1-2-3.

  • The Aggie women’s team is currently ranked No. 21 in the Division I CSCAA poll.

  • The Aggie men’s team is currently ranked No. 16 in the Division I CSCAA poll.

  • Junior Jace Brown finished first in the Men’s 100 Yard Butterfly.

  • Freshman Sarah Holt finished third in the Women’s 200 Yard Individual Medley.
