Students and members of the community gathered together at 2:42 a.m. Tuesday to recognize the 12 Aggies who died in the 1999 Aggie Bonfire Collapse.
The annual ceremony, held at the Bonfire Memorial site on campus, is hosted by Traditions Council and attended by the families of Bonfire Collapse victims. After brief words from Yell Leaders, the crowd sang the Aggie War Hymn, as requested by some of the victims’ family members.
This year’s ceremony marks 15 years since the Bonfire Collapse.
