Associate professor of animal science Josie Coverdale died Saturday afternoon, according to a College Station Police Department news release. Her death follows a Friday morning car accident at the intersection of Harvey Mitchell Parkway and Raymond Stotzer.
According to the news release, Coverdale was driving southbound on Harvey Mitchell Parkway on Friday morning when a 25-year-old College Station resident heading northbound on Harvey Mitchell failed to yield to Coverdale when turning onto Raymond Stotzer. Coverdale died the following day at 2:47 p.m.
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
