Former president George H. W. Bush was moved out of Houston Methodist Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit Monday. Bush will remain in the hospital for now, a representative said, but his wife Barbara, who was also hospitalized briefly, has been discharged.
Bush was admitted to the Houston hospital January 14 and was treated for a respiratory issue which stemmed from pneumonia. Barbara Bush was admitted for viral bronchitis and exhaustion.
Bush’s doctors said he is doing well, sitting up and watching TV.
