Following an injury of his bassist, Dusty Hill, the Chilifest headliner ZZ Top has cancelled his performance Saturday.
Hill dislocated his shoulder at a concert in Lubbock, Texas and was taken to the emergency room that night, according to ZZ Top’s official website. The Chillifest Facebook page announced the cancellation as well on Friday.
“Chilifest Inc. wishes Dusty Hill a speedy recovery and completely understands their reason for canceling the 25th Anniversary of Chilifest 2016,” read a Facebook post posted around 1 p.m. “The show must go on and we always have a Plan B to back up situations like this.”
Chilifest said they will announce the “Plan B” later Friday afternoon.
