Former A&M employee arrested in connection with bomb threat

A former Texas A&M employee has been arrested by University police in connection with the bomb threat at the Clayton Williams Jr. Alumni Center Friday morning, according to Lt. Allan Baron of the UPD.
Michael Francis Thomas, 43, has been charged with making a terroristic threat, a third degree felony. He was taken into custody at a Bryan location and is currently being held in the Brazos County jail.
Thomas is also a person of interest in the bomb threat involving Kyle Field earlier in the week, but has not been charged.
The investigation was launched Friday morning immediately after discovering the word bomb written on a mirror in the Clayton Williams Alumni Center. Police immediately evacuated the building and issued a Code Maroon alert. Police completed the search of the building and it reopened shortly after 11 a.m.
