Gov. Greg Abbott has demanded Texas A&M leaders to submit a list of employees on H-1B visas by end of day on Monday, Jan. 26, according to internal emails obtained by the Quorum Report.
This news comes after a formal complaint filed by The Dallas Express alleges that, despite numerous extensions, A&M repeatedly failed to produce records related to foreign worker programs. The complaint was filed with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Jan. 21 after months of delays.
The Office of the Attorney General has confirmed receipt of the complaint, but lawyers have not indicated whether they will proceed. A&M has not responded to questions about delays or status of the requests.
