This annual Student Research Week began Monday, with this year’s theme being “Rev’d Up for Research.” Participation in this year’s competition will see a significant increase from last year’s 577 participates to 740 — making it the second largest SRW in 19 years, said Alexandra Hardman, director of SRW and psychology graduate student. Hardman said there will be winners within each category and they will receive a total of $18,000 in prize money, with an additional $4,800 in prize money going to groups who show exemplary work in their presentation. The categories that will be covered range from History, Literature, Fine Arts, Communication, Languages, Philosophy to Math, Statistics, Computer Science. Awards will be given out to participants on April 4th at 2:30 in the ILSB Auditorium 1105.
