Texas A&M defensive back Derrick Tucker was arrested and charged on Thursday for assault stemming from a fight at Northgate on March 24, according to Brazos County court records.
The junior was booked and released from Brazos County Jail the same day after posting a $5,000 bond.
According to the police report, Tucker and another individual got into a physical altercation following an argument over tacos. After the initial altercation that left the other man with bruises and scrapes on his legs and hands, Tucker allegedly returned to the scene where he hit the man in the back of the head.
The Manvel, Texas, native has been a major piece of the secondary over the past two seasons, playing in 19 games that included SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors against Ole Miss in 2018.
