Before No. 7 Texas A&M football begins its postseason against No. 10 Miami, it’s award season for several players across the college football landscape. Aggie junior wide receiver KC Concepcion brought home the Paul Hornung Award, given annually to the most versatile player in major college football.
In just one season with the Maroon and White, Concepcion has certainly left his mark as the first player in program history to record a rushing, receiving and punt return touchdown in a single season in the modern era.
The First Team All-SEC wide receiver and return specialist accumulated 1,409 all-purpose yards, the 14th most in the entire nation. Included in that count are 886 receiving yards, 460 punt return yards — the most in the SEC — and 63 rushing yards. Concepcion also tallied plenty of touchdowns with 12 from scrimmage, the most among any SEC receiver.
The annual Paul Hornung Award dinner in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, will take place in March 2026, where Concepcion and his family will be honored, according to a press release from A&M Athletics.
