Bottego named SEC Diver of the Week for second week in a row

Junior Allen Bottego was named SEC Diver of the Week for the second-straight week after leading Texas A&M men’s swimming and diving to wins over South Carolina and Virginia Tech on Oct. 7.
The La Porte native came in first in both of his diving events with a score of 355.58 in the 1-meter and 368.10 in the 3-meter. Last week, Bottego was named SEC Diver of the Week after putting up a score of 410.93 to win the 1m versus Incarnate Word.
Bottego earned All-American status last year after finishing in the top 8 of the 1m at the NCAA Championships.
A&M men’s and women’s swimming and diving return to the pool against Tennessee on Friday, Oct. 27, at the Rec Center Natatorium.
